system shut down {count down} 2

i have just installed a xp pro and some ms apps,so when ever i want to start a new application,then pops this message "windows will shut-down on a count down. please help i need to do some work

I would say this is 90% the viruses ...

possibly 10% someone screwing with you...
this remote countdown shutdown can be done from a simple "shutdown" command anywhere on your network...

i have just did that from the cmd using the -a and -i command to increase the countdown time
