We moved offices about a year ago and before we moved we had a System Schedule Printer setup. When Avaya moved the PBX, they broke the printer and in turn, never set it up again.

How do I setup an HP4 plus to be a System Schedule Printer?
I can't use the paralell port as it is being used for CDR, and I'd like to set it up in my office though an open phone line anyway.

I believe I have all of the parts necessary, but I have been very unsuccessful in doing this.

Any help would be greatly appriciated. S.R.

If they didn't make any changes to the software, you should be able to do a "list data-module" and see if one is setup as the system printer. You can also go to about page 4 of the "system-parameters features" screen to see if a data module extension is assigned as the system printer. You need to hook up a 7400A data module to the digital port. The data module has a 25 pin RS-232 serial connection which you'll have to connect to the 9 pin RS-232 connector on the HP4+ (NOT THE CENTRONICS PARRALELL CONNECTOR). You should be in business. -CL

You can also use ASA/DSA and schedule reports to print automatically to a printer connected to your PC or anywhere on your LAN.
