Recently, I've noticed that each time I restart the PC, the 'Windows XP-SP1' system restore point, created just before the restart, disappears ! That means there never any restore points exist in the system, unless you create one. I guess, perhaps, problems started after I installed the XP Update Rollup 1, but not sure whether that was the source of the problem.
I have verified the System Restore setup: ON. Disk space usage for system restore is well above 500mb for each partition. The interval set up for System Restore to delete restore points is 30 days. There must be something occur when the PC shuts down or starts up to automatically delete the restore points. I also verified each point from the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 301224 (about missing or deleted restore points), but nothing is similar to the desparate situation that I'm experiencing now. Thanks in advance for your advice.
