System Restore forgets its history...

Hey...

My System Restore feature isn't registering any installs or changes to my XP Pro system...

If I open the programe, it shows the current day saying: "System Checkpoint" with the time I've just opened the program, that's it. Any history has been wiped...

Any ideas please...? Is this a known problem or am I missing to tick a check box...? I'm logged on as Administrator...

Some general things to try.

Check out your Event Viewer for any errors.

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click your Drive icon/ Properties/ Tools/ Error Checking.

If they don't work you could try repairing windows itself by running it over itself. You will lose all your windows updates but your files will be untouched.
