MOST of the time a restart is caused by to many errors being generated and ignored. in most systems that i have had to rush to because of a restart problem, the techs on site all had pretty much the same story. someone was doing a mov or cpy etc, and that caused a restart. in almost every case the restart was caused by either 0 avaible ram or a cpu trying to process more data then it could handle. if you get errors on a routine bases, address them. if you have stations, trunks etc that are not in service, remove them. another problem with some or the newer rls's is stations not matching the as build.. a 2616 built but a 2008 plugged in, you might not see the err80, but in ld 117 run the inv reports, make sure he chip sets match the software.. as for the reason code, it does not appear in nortels latest docs, i did a global search on the latest merls. for my dealing with nortel, usually their techs will not share that with un mortals
