Can anyone give me the minumum system requirements and the reccomended system requirements to run Windows 2000? I'd like to upgrade, and am not sure if this 2 year old computer will handle it smoothly.

What about a Pentium II 450 Mhz? 384 Mb RAM (I can get it up to 500 Mhz maxed out)

That spec should be fine, we run some PII 450's with 128MB here and they're OK, a couple with 256MB are noticeably faster. It does depend on what you want to do though.

Basically I'm going to do everything I do now on Windows 98...browse the internet, image editing (Paint Shop Pro 7, realativly light on resources) and a few other common tasks like word processing, etc.

You should be fine with that configuration. Our company just upgraded our systems to P4 2.26GHz, but we were on the same configuration as you running Win2K with 384MB of RAM. It wasn't extremely fast, but then again, there were a ton of processes running in the background. For the average environment, that system would be fast "enough" for simple tasks.
