system reboot while backup

hi

We r having sap r/3 4.0b on win nt 4 with sql 7 as database
When i run database backup through enterprise manager of sql 7 after 1 hour of backup server restart.

If i use nt backup for os backup there is no problem so i suspect there is no problem of hardware.
