Hi,
We are using 2 access versions on 1 pc. One is a full installation of access 97, one a runtime version of Access 2003. All databases on the pc are access 97, except for 1.
The problem is: Access automatically sets the last used version as it's default.
We were trying to work around this by adding the version to use in a shortcut for the 2003-database.When it is closed, access quickly starts an instance of 97 so that this becomes the default again.
Now our main problem: the system.mdw resets every time access 97 is reset as the default. We have a system.mdw on our network. We enter this in the workgroup administrator.
We open the access 97 database, it asks for a password (good)
We then open the 2003 database, it still asks a password (good)
We then open the access 97 database again, and we don't need a password anymore and are logged in as admin. In the workgroup administrator, we see that the workgroup is reset again to the default one (in the windows folder I believe)
Any ideas on how to overcome this, because we are starting to get a little frustrated with this problem...
