System mailbox has alot items

I am having a problem with the Exchange Connector to a Notes servers, the Exchange ID has the exchange.box and exchange.bad db open the Notes server, keeps opening threads and never seems to close the sessions on the Notes server. Eventually, the Notes server runs out of memory and the server. I took a look at the System Mailbox and it has about a 1000 messages and is about 3 mb. Could it be that there might be "bad..ie spam" messages in this mailbox that Exchange cannot transfer. I tried using MDBvu.exe utility but it doesn't show anything in the mailbox, (might be rights issue) Is there a way to check this mailbox out?
