Our NT4 Server had 1 partition on a hardware mirrored pair of disks (drive C), using half of the available space.
I created a second partition (D drive) using the remaining space and rebooted.
On boot up I got the message ‘Kernel file missing from the disk’
I tried the emergency repair disk – it made no difference.
I created an NT boot disk and got the system up. I then found that the files on the C drive had all moved to the D drive, except the pagefile and the boot.ini file.
As a consequence, nothing runs properly.
Has anyone any ideas why this has happened, and what I can do to correct it?
