I did an upgrade from 3.0(XX) to 3.1(48). The upgrade failed. Then erased flash using DTE recovery. Since the flash was totally erase I loaded the 3.1(48) .bin because the direction says you have to load 2.99 because some systems have limited memory (ipo 403 is what we got). Well After the .bin file loaded I still am unable to get into manager. So I figured id just erase everything with the DTE again WRONG. the AT-X2..3..4 and X doesnt Work now it says FAIL.

So I can't get into manager and I cannot erase VIA DTE port. WHen the config or bin is loading at the end you get funky characters and the AT-X command fail to work.

Is there a way to erase flash via hardware or button combo during IPO bootup to stop loading bin form flash to execute the AT commands?

Are you hitting escape as indicated in the "recovery" FAQ to abort the load sequence, then use the AT commands?

Also, if you're not able to see the unit via manager, keep in mind as indicated in the FAQ you may have to enter the MAC address of the unit along with which bin you want to load.

Also on upgrade make sure you have your cpu set to a static ip, all vpn clients on the cpu are turned off, etc.

I've also found that they seem to upgrade better if you have half duplex even though the new 406v2 units are supposed to be full duplex systems.
