Hello All.
Have (Avaya)Definity G3 v 11 with TN1648B v3 System Access and Maint card. I am having difficulty accessing the system remotely across this card via remote modems. Thought it might be a line issue from my modem, but I proved that not to be by using both a 1mb on my side into the 1mb on the G3 I am trying to access. So that wasn't it. I tried using PBX trunks as well and same issues. I can get to the CLI screen about every 3rd attempt but the connection drops in just a few seconds. Have done a "test INADS" and all works well for OUTBOUND alarm reporting. Have checked and "repunched" cross connects for INADS and all is good there.
My question is, is the TN1648 "hot swappable"? I cant find any tech doc that says so. There is an RJ45 port on the front of the card that says "modem" on it but I also can't find any instructions on how it works or is designed either. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I would like to try another TN1648 but don't want to possibly harm the SPE shelf or system.
