I have a users who requires files update or generated offline to be syncronized on his network share. I have looked at syncronization manager but need to locate the area where syncronization to & from occurs. I cannot stipulate the to & from location.

Many thanks in advance

Funstur,

Sounds like you are talking about OFFLINE FILES.

Open Explorer and click Tools|Folder Options|Offline Files. Enable Offline Files.

Next you must navigate to the resource that you would like to have synchronized from the network to the users local hard drive. Right click the resource and select Make Available Offline. Follow the wizard.

Do this for all folders that you need to access offline.

Hope this helps,

If you not only want to syncronize pc with server and Server with pc, IE any new files saved to server syncronized with pc then you will need roaming profiles. I learned this the hardway. Any changes I made offline on my notebook would syncronize with the server. However any changes made on my desktop and saved to the server would not syncronize with the notebook.
