Syncing with Time Server

I realize this questions has been asked many times, I have read many threads, and also Micosoft's detailed registry notes and this.

I need my standalone 2003sp1 server to sync time more then once a week.

I have changed HKLM-SYSTEM-CurrentControlSet-Services-W32Time-Parameters and added REG_DWORD "Period" with decimal 65532 which I thought meant "SpecialSkew" according to this page

but it does not work, and with a CPU that can't keep time properly I need this to sync daily if not more often.

I did something similar on a Windows 2000 server and it works.
