I ran into some filesystem inconsitencies on my adv_file device (about 1 TB data). I could repair the filesystem, but some data is lost. As a result, networkers index may contain references to records that don't exist any more. Is it possible to "repair" the online index to remove those references?

Well, ..., that's the problem. I don't know which save sets got lost. What I need is a check that looks up every save set in the index to see if it is still existent on the adv_file device. If not the ssid should be removed from the index.
As a workaround I think I could remove all ssids referencing the adv_file device. Then use scanner to re-create the index for this device. But as far as I remember, index entries generated via scanner are not subject to the browse and retention policies ...
