synchronization of ds1

Hi all,

I have a G450 with 3 DS1 (MM710) on it. Every DS1 is connected to a different exchange of the operator. How I set the synchronization of DS1 boards on a situation like this? Does MM710 boards run as free running (no need to synchronize)? I got complains from the second and third DS1 caller that sometimes they have to dial several times to reach to exchange.

have you done a "ch sync port 1" command and set the synchronisation source on this screen.

You can only set the sync source to 1 of the DS1's, pick one. That will be the sync source of the gateway. You can set a secondary backup sync source to another DS1.

set sync interface primary 001v2
set sync interface secondary 001v4
set sync source primary

for example, then "show sync timing" to see how it is set and what the current sync source is.
