Synchronise pop up to data in underlying form

Hi

I have a pop up form (parent form) called from child form,linked via parent primary key to child foreign key.
When record of foreign key moves how do I link to primary
key to update info on pop up.Tried using is loaded vb but access does not recognise is loaded.Using access 2000 db.
Link from parent form to child form using command button with event procedure set as on current.
