I was looking to do a CTI application to monitor the trunks on our meridian system, however when importing the exchange information into the database application the trunk TN's don't seem to get imported. Can anyone give me any clue as to what I'm doing wrong or if it is even possible with TAPI ?

Thanks for any advice and a good new year to everyone.

In the trunk TN appear the AST prompt.
For CTI trunk monitoring and control, set to YES.

Javier

the IAPG prompt set to 1 for USM message send or receive from the application.

Thanks for the help, I already had the trunk set up that way but when I import this into the TAPI database I don't see any evidence of the trunk. Any other suggestion ?

After you print the TN database, route database and CDN information and convert the text file you need to configuring the Trunk Table

The Trunk Table database information is used by Symposium TAPI service provider to monitor
outbound trunk routing. Use the Trunk Table dialog box to add the route or routes to be monitored.
To monitor the trunk for the status events of answered and disconnected:

• On the Meridian 1, the trunk must be set up as AST.
• On the Meridian 1, IAPG must be set up to select the appropriate events (1 = all events).
• The CTI TAPI Server must register the trunk to be monitored.

The status change messages for the monitored trunk can only be sent when the trunk statuses are
detected, that is, when the trunk is equipped with both answer and disconnect supervision. If a
digital trunk interface is used, answer supervision and disconnect supervision are available.
However, if a Universal trunk card is used, the SUPN prompt must be set to ?yes? in Load 14 to
allow answer supervision and disconnect supervision.

To Access the Trunk Table dialog box:
1. On the Symposium TAPI SP for Meridian 1 Configuration window, click Host Configuration.

2. Click Trunk Table.

Thanks again, I have added the route to the trunk table already and the TAPI does seem to have aquired it as the aquired but nothing appears in the list of TAPI devices that I can see to open. The SUPN prompt does not appear on the list of options for the route, something to do with the fact that the trunk is an ISDN-30 line ?

REQ:

Several times, unfortunately no help. The only things I see that I can open are the TN's of the phones and the CDN's.

In the NTP I see this:

The TN table contains the terminal number (TN) and directory number (DN)configurations on the Meridian 1 switch. Each line configured on the switch has a
terminal number (TN). You can associate a maximum of two directory numbers(DNs) with each TN.

In other words you can see only phones digital or analog in the list of TAPI devices

I think that you can´t open the trunks.
What do you need the application to make?

I was wanting to use it for two things :

1. Monitor activity on the trunks to check load on the ISDN line

2. Potentially do something to record the calls.

I saw in the network manager guide this:

Trunk monitoring

The trunk monitoring feature allows Symposium TAPI SP to process the link messages for inbound calls on a monitored trunk. The application can use trunk information to record conversation on incoming calls.

I just can't see anything mentioned on how do it. Thanks again for the help, at least it seems I'm not being completely stupid.
