Symposium Calls Waiting

Just wanted to know if anybody has ideas how to do this : we want to make an analog phone ring whenever there are calls waiting to be answered in a queue controlled by Symposium. We'll be replacing the phone later on with flashing light that will indicate to the agents that there are calls waiting. This is what we thought might work : set the CDN to overflow after say 5 seconds to an analog extension then set that analog extension to Call Forward no answer after 2 rings back to the Symposium CDN.This way the analog phone will ring when calls are waiting. We're concerned that this might create a situation where a call will be stuck and not answered bouncing between the CDN and analog extension.

I'd appreciate any ideas / thoughts / comments on how to do this.

Sorry, but there is no way to do it!!! Why don't you use wallboards or something else to control the queues?

Thanks for your input. We already have a wallboard but we cannot make it beep because it's considered "noise" in the environment we're in. We don't want to ask the agents to keep looking at the wallboard , we thought a strobe light would get their attention.

Wow this is a little late but just incase someone else wants to do it.. You could always us GRTD (graphic real time desplay) software that is a free b with symposium... It will let you set thresholds for certian things even let you play sounds when these points are met. sounds that are on a pc like a phone ringing... you can put it on a loud set of external speakers or the pa system in that department.. Ahhh there is always a way..
