Hi there i just recently upgraded a PC from 98se to XP, all has gone well. however i did need to reinstall outlook, when the user of the PC logs in it configured itself firstime round, however everytime a new user logs onto the same PC, outlook tells me it needs to configure itself for XP again (why its dont it once!) and the while lookibng for the cd generates the following error messages

error1.jpg

this makes no sense because the cd is in the drive, the installation was not carried out over a network

error2.jpg

ive tried to replace this DLL file but that doesnt work

ive tried to repair and re-install but everytime it wants to reconfigure itself, outlook even tries to do it again when i switch back to the origional user, who it was already set up for!

whats going on!

Search Microsoft Support (with 'error 1706 MAPI32') and you'll find the following article:

Non Administrative Users Cannot Start Outlook 2000 After You Upgrade to Windows XP

Microsoft's site can be cumbersome to search, but it's always worth a try![wink]
