When referring to ethernet ports on a Cisco switch, what do the numbers before and after the slash mean? For example, when referring to fast ethernet post 0/3.

0/3 means, blade 0 port 3 on bigger switches you can get
fastethernet 6/3, blade 6 and port 3

on some switch they start with port 1 and on others with 0. Thats because of an acquistion Cisco did long time ago
