Hi folks,

We will be replacing our VCM4 module for a VCM16, and I am the lucky one to make this happen.

Any input on "do's and don'ts" for this task. According to our BP is just a straight swap - back up, power down, uninstall, and install.

I just want to make sure. We have an IP 406 V4.0

Thanks.

Yeah, Open manager and the config to get the latest.

Take apart the 406 Of course with some anti static protection. Remove the cover.
Locate VCM Be carefully to gently release the white spacers, long nose pliers will do the job.

Gently pull away the old unit and install the new. Make sure 100% the unit is installed correctly and has not missed any pins. Re-assemble connect all leads and then;

reboot all sub units, when they are up power up your 406.
Check every thing as it should.

Open up monitor program an on the initial connect it should say VCOMP 16.
