I had some mails from enginners wanting to swap batteries on the mentioned products since they lost the databse on power off.

Here is my plan for swapping the battery:

When I did this battery swap, I always made a back-up of the telephone system by means of the maintenance PC program.
I broght my PC and the back-up to the customers site.
1.
Then powered the system down, setting af dip swtchs to get the system into factory default setting.
2.
Soldered the leads for the old battery, and removed it.
3
Placed the new battery and soldered the leads.
4.
Powered-up the system.
5.
Logged-on to the system, and re-installed the back-up.
6.
Restarted and tested the system.
7.
OK.

It is a bit different with the names for LG and Vodavi (now Vertical).

XTS / Triad -> ipLDK-100/300
Telennium -> iPECS

This tread has also been posted in the Vodavi forum, as you can see:

Tekcell Lithium battery SU-AA02 3.6V size 1/2 AA is the make and name of this battery, that lasts 5-7 years (normally).

Can the OP or anyone else tell me how to get hold of the maintenance PC program which the OP referred to? We have had a power outage, our batteries have obviously failed and our system has lost all of it's programming. We have a backup disc but we have no information about how to restore the backup.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re my previous post, I have now managed to restore our backup. Further searching led me to downloads of the GDK PC Admin program. I initially stumbled at the point where the program asks for a password but reading the user guide bundled with the GDK PC Admin installation told me that this was "lgeadm". I was then able to upload our backup to the GDK-100 system via RS232 once I'd established that a straight cable was needed. The default com port settings of 9600 baud, 8 dat, 1 stop, no parity worked fine.

This thread and the linked thread should give you all the answers...
