SV9100 Hold Music Files, MOH

I've got a customer who doesn't like the default CPU MOH that comes with the SV9100 system and wants to choose something else. I have told them that there are a few different hold music tunes built into the system that they can choose from. I know how to change the MOH source within PCPro and WebPro, but is there anywhere I can go within the system's programming to actually listen to the music? I thought they would be VRS files but that does not appear to be the case. I found a "Music" folder when trawling through the firmware folders but there are only .dat files and I don't know what to do with those. I tried importing them into Audacity but it didn't like them no matter what I tried. Does anyone have any ideas please? Or if you have the audio files in a format that they can be played in, are you able to post them here please? I know I can change the source and then call and ask them to put me on hold but I don't want to do that if I can help it.

Thanks!

If you have a VRS license you can use the VRS as a MOH source and can upload files using the User Administrator username and password. You can also listen to I believe the SV9100 comes with at least one VRS license at default.

Dude, you can load these files from a web browser. They just need to be in the correct .wav format and I THINK under 2.5 minutes long. Of course you must have a VRS license for this to work. g711.org is your friend for converting these files.

You can also import the files into Audacity by doing a raw import and setting it to ulaw or alaw depending on your region. I use Audacity myself.

As mentioned above you need to login with user1 - the tech login won't show the files.

There's usually only 1 wav MOH in the system out of the box. The other built in music sources are various "chimes" melodies.

I personally use AVS Audio Editor. The format has to be correct to be used in the SV9100 and the format is: Bit Rate=64kbps, Sampling Size=8 bits, Channel 1 (Mono), Sampling Rate 8 KHz, Audio Format CCiTT u-law (in the US, at least).

I have had issues with an audio file not working, due to not being formatted correctly, but with the AVS Audio Editor the audio file was easily converted to the correct format.

You will need to verify what the Username and Password is for UA (User Administration) at 90-02. When you access the UA, it is the first icon on the left, on the bottom row, VRS Audio Up/Down Load.

As previously stated, you will need a VRS license to use this source. It works great, I have it activated on my lab system.

Just a note, one thing that never seems to be mentioned is that there is a size limit for these files of approximately 1MB
