suspend?

my computer throws itself into suspend mode at any given moment. i have a tnt2 video card installed but it just started doing this and i have had the video card for about 3 months. the computer is still running but my monitor is in suspend mode and there is no response from the computer. the onboard video isn;t conflicting either i'm almost out of options and this is driving me crazy.
