Hello,

my bosses laptop has gone into suspend mode, and now matter what key I press it will not get out of it. I've even taken the battery out and still it will not go out of suspend mode.

It is a DAN 2200C laptop. The power indicator is flasging green and battery is charging. No other idicators are on.

Any suggestions?

HELP!!!

Monty99,
I've seen this exact thing MANY times with our IBM's. However, each time its a different fix. Sometimes, I have to hold the power button in the off positiion for several seconds. Other times I have to use a function key (Not F keys but IBM has a function key for turning up volumn and getting system out of suspend mode). If all else fails unplug it, remove battery and let it die. Then boot up and get into your BIOS and temp disable the power stuff. AP whatever the newest acronym is.

Hi,

thanks for reply. Looks like problem was a dodgy connector on battery. One of the pins was not alligned properly on connector / loose, and probably causing power problems on pin itself causing laptop to enter suspend.

HAd tried all manner of buttons to bring it back to life, inluding removing battery etc.
OK now that connector has been fixed.

Thanks
