Hi,

I've just been building a server for a standalone LAN that one of our departments uses for training. The LAN has 2 x 2003 DC's and about 40 or 50 workstations. The workstations are all XP.

I've downloaded and installed SUS and created (and applied) a policy that forces the XP workstations to point at for their updates. Now, my question is, and I have read the white paper but am still not clear, what do I do about getting the updates onto the server. Do I have to download them from the MS site and drop them into a directory onto the server? Or, and this is what I don't want to do, do I have to uninstall it and start again?

Thanks in advance.

Ahh yes i see where you are going now. Yes there is a way to download the updates offline and copy them to the server, i've read it on the MS site before but i can't find the document at the moment i think it was in the deployment guide.

I'll post a link if i find it.

You know what Jack Burton always says at a time like this...

Thanks a lot!
