I have inserted a few breaks into a document. I want to add different headers for every few pages, but I do want the page numbers in the footer to be continous, and I'm having trouble doing so. Is there any way to surpass breaks while numbering pages in a document?

Sorry for asking a lot today, I have already posted 2 threads before... It's just that I'm doing some project for Friday and I need help. So, thanks a lot for the help! :)

From the Header/Footer toolbar select format page numbers and make sure that "Continue from previous section" is selected.

If you read the post directly under yours relating to subdocuments - I sort of have a related problem. I've found that if you go into the setup of the headers/footers and chose the continuous option it let me keep the page numbering footers continuous throughout the whole document except for the ones where I chose a different first page. I just had to insert the page number on thos pages and it kept them in order and the same format.

Yes "Continue from previous section" is selected, and it's the default option so I didn't change it. I go to Insert=> Page Numbers and select "Continue from previous section". After that, I can see page numebrs until the first page of Section 2, and then the rest of Section 2 is numbered correctly. However, from Section 3 and further there are no numbers at all, until it reaches about Section 20, something like that.. Is there any solution? :(

Have you done that for each section? Just making sure.

You might also need to make sure that each footer is the "Same as Previous".

Also, make sure that each section does not have a different first page header.
