My report has about 10 tables. It is duplicating records from the purchasing tables. Any idea how I can suppress the duplicate records so the sub totals do not reflect the duplicate records. Please help. Thanks

I ended up creating a sub report to take place of the second running totals field. Thanks for your help!!!!

Hi Mack2 and Lbass,

i read over this post, but i still have problems regarding about duplicates.. i have posted a thread regarding about this, but not much response.. it will be great if i can get some help.. this is quit urgent

i have repeated lines on my report, but don't how to appoarch.. here's the problem:

Cust# Line# Invoice# BookQ InvoiceQ
1234 1 10099 9000 3000
1234 1 10100 9000 2000
1234 1 10101 0
1234 1 10099 9000 3000
1234 1 10100 9000 2000
1234 1 10101 0
1234 1 10099 9000 3000
1234 1 10100 9000 2000
1234 1 10101 0

as you can tell, it repeated 2 times. this is a very big effect on my report, because the totaling is not correct. do u have any suggestion as to how to appoarch this? also, not just 1 field got affected. it affect 4 of the fields in my report.

it will be great if any of you can show me the steps..
many many many thanks..

the "previous" in my formular prevent me insert running subtotal.. does any of you have any idea as to how i can do subtotaling?

million thanks

Did you try Database->Select Distinct Records? This would remove those, unless there's more data here which is distinct, and if so, perhaps there's something amiss in your joins.

I think that I responded to your initial post elsewhere, but I often times don't get the chance to go back, hoping that someone else might address the concern once I've requested specific technical information.
