Hi All,

Is there a way to supress or hide a result if that same result has already been shown. Example:eek:n 1 line
Customer Phone Zip
Fred 4444444 60000
Fred 4444444 60000

Can i remove 1 of the lines above?
Information is being pulled from different fields or tables.

Thanks,
Mike

mgould,

The only way I know is to format each field, by right clicking on the object, and then ticking the "Suppress field if duplicated" tickbox.

Hope this helps.

That would be on each field. I need something that will look at all the fields and see if they are duplicated within the details.

If your report has a sort field (Customer), use this field.
OR
You can create a formula field (StrDetail) that strings all the detail fields together. This formula field is then put in the detail section as a suppressed field.

While in Design view, right click on Details and select Format Section. Check the Suppress(No Drill-Down) and click on the formula button to the right of the Suppress option. If the report is sorted, you can enter a formula like:
{Customer} = Previous {Customer}
OR
If you created a field, you can enter a formula like:
{StrDetail} = Previous {StrDetail}

This will suppress the detail line if it is same as the previous detail line.

Hope this helps!!!! :)
