Supress group when sub report is blank

Hi, i've got a subreport in the details and i would like to supress the group header above it if no data is in the subreport. Any ideas? Would it need to be some sort of shared variable upon which to supress the group header?

You would need to have a copy of the subreport in a group header section above the one that you want to suppress. You can suppress all sections within this subreport, format the subreport to "suppress blank subreport", and format the section it is in to "suppress blank section". Place a shared variable in the subreport footer, and then reference in the main report in order to suppress the group header below it.
