Suppressing blank subreports

Hello,
I've been working with a report that takes call information from one table and displays it. In the subreports, they deal with additional tables, some of it with more detailed information about the calls and/or later actions taken. Most of the orginal calls don't have additional data on them in the other tables. In my report, this shows up as blank lines. I've set up each subreport in a additional detail line. I would like to suppress these lines, but when I use the suppress when blank option, nothing happens. Does anyone have any suggestions with how to accomplish this? I'm working with ver. 7

Drew: A couple of suggestions:

1. You could link the subreports on some data which would only return those subreports with matching entries e.g. if you merely link by customer and get blank order subreports then linking on customer AND order ID would restrict returns to only those customers who have actually placed an order etc..

2. I assume when you state that you are getting blank lines appearing these are within the subreport so you could set up in the subreport a group which matches your link e.g. in my example above - customer, and then count the records per customer and then suppress all sections in the subreport if count<1 David C. DrewHan: One other thought - if you only want the details to be visible once selected you could Format Subreport and select Subreport tab and from there set up subreport as On Demand David C. Monks
