I am trying to derrive the name of the supervisor from ADP EV3 through ReportSmith. Basically an employee has a emplid (Employee #) and a supid (Supervisor #). I am pulling both id's but want to loop back and get the supervisor name.

I have tried to set a derrived field, but seems to be to no avail!

If you know anything, give me a holler!

Thanks
Amber

Have you tried linking to the same table using an alias, linked by Sup#?

I don't know if this would work in EV3, but a similiar test worked in ADP for Windows.

That is a good idea, thanks for the feedback. This is my first time it and it was nice to get a response so fast.

Link in a table that has emplid and name. The link will be

Sup# = Emplid

Like dllblack says the trick is to give this table a different alias. Try to use a table not a view as you only need a little info from this table.
