With a fresh client install - When I log in as supervisor then go to the system manager functions I now get an error with the SQL SA login: "Could not connect to XXX-macolasql "Error :eek:bject or With block variable not set"...

Which system manager functions? All the visual tools including visual menu builder require the full SQL client, not just SQL connectivity.

I did the "full" client install....

The error occurs when I access the "visual menu builder". How do I determine if I have or have not installed the full SQL client? Secondly, how do I install the full SQL client?

On a full SQL client install, under start, programs, MS SQL Server, you will see enterprise manager, SQL query analyzer, etc., etc.

To do this, insert the SQL Server CD in the workstation. You will get prompted that only the client components can be installed, because the Server components only install on a Windows Server O/S. Click OK. You will then get prompted for full SQL client tools or connectivity only. Pick full SQL client tools.

My verbiage may not be exact (no pun intended) because I cannot actually test this here, but the above instructions should work for you.
