Can someone explain how superloops work in a option 81.
how they correspond with the ipe shelves and how many timeslots are allocated per shelf.

Superloops are in multiples of 4 on the NET side. Loop numbers are not arbitrary, but are according to their physical location within the NET shelf. The IPE shelf can be configured for practical non-blocking service if disired. You can 1 loop in an IPE with Slots 0 thru 15 for line cards, or segmented with 2 loops 0-7 and 8-15 down to 4 loops per shelf.
