Summary Report?

I have an issues log that keeps track of when the issue was reported, and whether it is open or closed.

On a report I would like to list a summary of how many of each are within a certain date range.

I can do this separately in 2 diferent queries, where the user would have to enter the date range twice, but i would like it to only ask for the date range once.

Any ideas?

       Count(*) As [NumberOfRecords]

From IssuesLog

Group By OpenCloseStatus

hmmm...thats close, but when i try to add a date range, it breaks out for each date range.

OK, i might be getting annoying by now. BUT, how do i get the date range that was selected to show on the report?
