I have a lengthy word document (Word 2000) with a table of contents. Each time I click on one of the items in the TOC it takes me to the bookmarked place and puts the "Web" toolbar in the middle of the screen. This happens when going to any bookmarked spot in my document. Is there a way to stop this? Has anybody else had this happen?

Thanks!

The bookmark is a hyperlink. When you click a hyperlink, ANY hyperlink, the web toolbar comes on and stays on! It's annoying as hell and I've never found a way to stop it myself. I'll keep an eye on this thread, now, to see if anyone DOES know how to stop it but I kind of think it's on of those SOL situations.

The funny thing is, this has only started happening recently??? I haven't changed any settings (like in "Options"). I thought maybe it had something to do with a recent Microsoft patch- but I download patches for other machines with different operating systems in our office and I can't remember at which point this started happening!

It might be the patch, I keep my systems up on the latest stuff all the time - but it seems to me I've always had that stupid toolbar appearing and sticking around after clicking any hyperlink.

Oh well.....post here if you find anything!

Thanks

I just started having that same problem, just within the last few months. It never happened before, so I thought it might have to do with upgrading from Office Professional to Office Premium. Also I upgraded IE6 to IE6sp1, and IE seems to integrate with a lot of applications.
It would be nice to fix this so you don't have to cancel the web bar every time you use the table of contents!
