Recently had the switch upgraded to Succession 4.0 and now have a problem when calls go to voicemail through SECC. If the call is diverted to voicemail then the caller is prompted for a mailbox number instead of being able to leave a message. Voicemail works fine for all "normal" extensions. Any idea's as the company who did the succession upgrade seem to be struggling.......

Might be that it's SECC rather than full Symp !!! Throw that at them & see !!!! (Who was it btw ... not BT again ???)

<Do I need A Signature or will an X do?>

Not BT - (a Nortel partner) they seem to think its something to do with succession not being compatable with our version SECC. Our SECC is being upgraded but we are waiting for a new machine to build it on as as you know the current one isn't great. There is an engineer here now working on it but I think we may roll back to release 24 or whatever we were on before until new server is here. Don't really want to do that tho cause we just had a load of new ACD agents licences installed (and now set up by me)and they only work on Succession so it will be a right mess if we do roll back!

Could see the new agents being an issue ... v tight b4 !!!
What's the time frame for new symp machine?
I'd stay with S4 rather than rollback - even if there is slight inconvenience with mail !!!!!

(Great here Crash Call Pilot & 6 mailboxes !!!!!!)

I thin it's this patch in your PBX:

Q00787571 ISS1:1OF1 Meridian Mail 02/12/04 p18127_1.cpp

I know you have CP, but I believe it is the same problem and patch... We had the same problem when we upgraded also. We use our Sympo to do TOD routing and after hours, callers were getting prompted for the mailbox # rather than the treatment defined on the VSDN table.

Hope this helps! -Matt

Yup, had this problem at a site and there is a patch for this. Had the same issue at a site in Tulsa, OK. Drove us crazy for days.

No, the patch number is MPLR16968.

PI: ORIGINALLY DIALLED DIGITS NOT SENT TO VOICE MESSAGING SYSTEMS WITH X11 25.40B FOR CALLS ROUTED THROUGH SCCS ACQUIRED CDN'S *** NOTE: THIS PI PEP CAN BE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE TO ANYONE WHO REQUIRES IT. NO PLM APPROVAL IS NECESSARY ***

This will fix the problem. Call Nortel to get the patch, it is a PI patch.

Does this patch work on succession 4 as it says 25.40B?

Thanks

Sorry; we have a different one (but we're on S3.0) so I'm not sure which is right... -Matt

Have a look at the Enterprise Solutions PEP Library on Nortels website ..... you'll have to register --- Use the address in G'boro & it will find the company & allow you access .... I was registered before .
Cheers

I know that it says 25.40 but yes this is the correct patch. Matt that is the same patch in your system. You have to call Nortel to get the patch, it is Product Improvement! This will fix the problem! I know I have used it serveral times!!

Got the patch but it does not work. Says it wont work on our software level. . . . . . . .

I did see the patch for R4.0 on the patch page. This is something that Nortel needs to look at. If the patch is for the correct software then Nortel need to re-write the line of code. Make sure that you got the correct patch for R4.0!

Eventually got the correct patch from Nortel. Thanks for you help!
