Subtracting days in a query

I have an "ACTUAL SHIPMENT DATE" field in a data table. I need to subtract 3 days from the dates in this field and show the result in a new field. Can someone help me out please?

In the query grid:
[derived date]: [ACTUAL SHIPMENT DATE]-3
You may also consider the DateAdd function.
