Subreports won't display?

I have a report that's made up of three subreports. On my station, I can preview it fine. On the customer's site, I can only see one of the subreports. When I preview the report there, if I double-click on the place the subreport should be, it will bring it up. Does anyone know why this would happen?

Yes, I am sure that the reports are exactly the same. I tried copying my copy to their machine, subreports don't show. Copied back to my machine, the show again. There, I checked to make sure that the subreports weren't on-demand, and they weren't. I did make one on-demand, then changed it back, and it still wouldn't show up.

Is it a DLL or something? I don't know what it could be, but it just won't work correctly there, but I can't reproduce it here. Any ideas what else it could be?

I would certainly make sure they are using the same CR dlls as you are.

What is strange is why one subreport in that report works differently than the other. What is different about the 2 subreports? Are they located in different sections? Use different tables? Link differently?

Yes, the two subreports are different than the one that is showing up. They are linked to the main report by user-input date criteria, and the one that is showing up is not linked at all.

The data I'm using here is almost the same that the client's using - it's several days older, but it's the same data, and the report is date-driven, so when I run it for past dates, it's pulling the same data.

They are in different sections, but I've tried moving them into different sections, into the same one the first one's in, and putting other fields into the same section with them. Nothing seems to work. I even tried making them on-demand, just to see what would happen, but nothing would show, no subreport name or anything.

Is the sub report marked with the 'reimport on opening' property?

Originally, it was not checked, but I've tried it both ways, still won't show.

Is your report saved with data? Make sure that it isn't because that might confuse things.

Also, if all else fails, you create a dummy link to the third subreport, but don't use the new paramter for selecting. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting

Thanks for the suggestion - I'm not feeling very intelligent right now .

The main report has nothing in it. Here, I do have a few records I'd put in originally planning to use them for linking, then decided not to use it that way. But, at the client's site, I never inserted any records into the database that matched the criteria in the main report. So, even though the subreports weren't linked to anything in the main report except the user input, it wouldn't pick anything up because there wasn't anything in the main report that matched the criteria I had on it.
