Subreport formatting

I have subreport in the detail section which i want to print only once and not as many times as the no. of detail records and it needs to be in the detail section.

so even if there is 5 records in the detail section the subreport being the detail section should only show once and not 5 times.

any ideas?

Sounds like a bad idea, however I would suggest right clicking the details section and selecting insert section below.

Now place the subreport in the upper detail section and everything else below.

Right click the subreport section and select format section->x2 next to suppress and place:

not(onfirstrecord)

If this doesn't resolve, it's mainly because you've posted nothing technical, not even your Crystal version (this might also describe the menu differences).

If the details are part of a group, place the subreport in a group header section. If you want it in line with the details, then format the GH_b section to "Underlay following sections."
