We have just purchased a new compaq server, however when the First NT4 SP5 build was done and rebooted we received a "Service has failed error" there is not enough storage to complete this operation - error 1130.(The Server Service has failed to Start) Checked on Technet which points you to Q166840 - where the solution suggests increasing registry size in control Panel. tried numerous sizes from default through to Max, even tried manually starting the Server service, but the error is persistant. does anyone have any suggestions

I had a similar problem where the server service failed on startup. The fix was to re-apply SP5 or higher, as somehow the existing service pack was corrupted. I don't have the reference off hand but am pretty sure I found the answer in the Microsoft knowledge base.
