Subnet Masking

Ok I am stumped.
I hope this is in the right forum. We were recently using a subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0 We are chaging it to 255.255.252.0 due to expanding the network. HOwever when we changed it on the DHCP Server (Windows NT 4 sp6). I tried to ipconfig /release then /renew. I am unable to renew. Or IP address is within the limited range. Any ideas

Did you change the subnet on all other Network hardware if applicable and in the NT 4 static NIC settings of the DHCP server? Your client comps can't reach the DHCP server. Check lmhosts file. You can always try a static IP to see if you can ping the server.
