Hi ALL,

Problem is that Main Form is linked to a subform - indexes seem to work - but any data inputted is never there when I Close and re-open the Main form/Sub-Form. i.e. it only alllows me to input data once then it deletes data inputted.

Your expertise is required

Are the forms bounded to Tables or Queries ?
I.E. what is the RecordSource property of the forms ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

Do you mean the data is deleted from the form/subform or from the table? Typically if you save data to a table, then when you go to next record, or open the form again, the data will not be visible (if in Data Entry mode for form), but the data is stored in the table.

Thanks for replies:

Data is sourced to a Table - the table stores data no problem - the problem is that i want the subform to dispaly all inputted data by way of a datasheet - presently it only allows user to input single entry - on close and re-open - single entry no longer visible in subform but stoed in table. Why will the subform not show a list of all entries???

Hi

What is the value of the .DataEntry property of the form which is your subform?

It should be False

Or, you can set the form up as tabular instead of columnar from the design wizard. It shows up similar to a datasheet, and you can still use some functionality of buttons and such, by placing in headers/footers of the form. I use this method myself on a database that works very well for my particular application.

Thanks for tip Stephen

Much appreciated
