I have a master form with an embedded subform. the subform contains tabs and when I click on the tabs the master for and subforms "shift position" on the screen. How do I stop this madness???????

Subform Jumping - HELP

i have a master form and on the form i have a subform with 5 tabs. when i open the main form the master data for that customer is on the top of the master form. when i click on one of the five tabs the form starts jumping around and losing focus. hope that explains it a little better?
I've had the same problem, with forms jumping vertically as I go from tab to tab.
Look at the toolbars you have on each form.
Go to View / Toolbars/ and you probably have Form View, and/or Formatting (FormsReports) clicked. If one subform has a different number of tool bars showing than other subforms, the forms will seem to 'jump'.

HELP ME PLEASE SOMEONE! I have to roll this out in 15 minutes and when I open the master form about 4 inches down the screen are 4 tabbed subforms. when the master form opens you can't see the tabs themselves, i have to scroll up the master form to see the tabs, and the header etc. ANY IDEAS?????? Please help. I'm going crazy!
Here's something to try . . .
At least one of your subforms in design view may have extended beyond the scope of the size of the page (when you open the Main Form). This will cause all subforms to adapt to the longest length.. . and affect where the tabs are, when you open the Main Form.
Open your MainForm in design view, and look at the vertical size (length) of each subform. (It's difficult to explain, but I've had this problem when I add a tab with a newly developed subform.) You'll want to find the longest subform, and shorten it in design view -- you're not really shortening the subform, but shortening the space that contains it. Then make sure your whole Main Form (which acts as an 'anchor' for the subforms) as shortened as much as possible.
Please let us know if this is your problem, or if concerns something else. It's difficult to know from your description.

If you're using Access 2003, it's a known problem. One solution if to ensure that all labels are attached to a control. The other soloution is the change your Windows themes to Windows Classic. One of the other problems is that you can't make the tab control transparent unless your theme is Windows Classic.
