STT8000A what is my firmware?

I can use this drive on a w2k pro workstation just fine. Only thing is that if I backup more than 4gigs of data I get problems. The option for compression is turned on. I'm thinking firmware upgrade time. There is no web pages to show me what the firmware is but I have found a firmware file. It's this or get 8gig native tapes. Thanks.
 
Yay! I get to reply to my own thread.

I learned that no ATAPI backup device can do hardware compression.
Backup software has to do the compressing.

The way to find the firmware version was found here:
The only way they can get more data on the existing tapes is to use a backup program like Backup Exec.
No such luck with ntbackup.
Using a larger tape won't work either because of incompatibilities.
Now I get to sound like an expert. ;-)
