Hello all,

I would like users to play music on my website. How can do that with c# or javascript? I want to use minimum bandwidth.

Thanks in advance

That all depends...

You could...

1) Just stick simple links on the site, allow users to download them and play them from their clients
2) Use a media server such as Shoutcast (with Winamp) or Windows Media Player (Shoutcast is free and fairly easy to set up)
3) Create a Flash application to stream the audio to the client

As for using minimum bandwidth, good luck. Any streaming media is going to chew bandwidth up quickly. For example - if you have 10 listeners and you're broadcasting at 64k mono, and these users are connected 24 hours/day, you'll be chewing up about 200 Gigs/month.

AtomicChip,
Thank you very much for your help.
I already allowed them to download. Does option 2 also take alot bandwith ?

It would be roughly the same.

Chip H.
