Hi Everybody
We have just upgrade ip office from rel 6 to rel 8.1. Everything fine , but when we want to use 'save configuration as' command backup , the virtual essential licence will be lose , and indicated on error list colume.
And then we sign out system and login again , the error will out , and the virtual essential licence exist again.

Any idea can solve ??

Thanks everyone

The virtual essential edition license is created on the IPO itself.
When you pull a config it will not give this error, only when you are using it as an offline config.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I learnt in 2.1 NEVER upload errors to a config. That trumps all. It's a golden rule, like the age of Pericles.
Applying this rule, copy the license in to your working config from a previously saved config when you encounter it.

Holdmusic, a virtual license cannot be copied.
If you have a system with the virtual license then open a .bak file from it and you will see it shows the error.

Wilsontec, is it possible that you do the changes this way?
You really should pull the config and then make the changes and send it back.
Then it will not give this error.

Just be aware the virtual essential license is a part of the hardware. If the core ever fails you will be required to get a new license. Got to have that fun last week.

Think twice, speak once~~!!~~
