This is only a small problem but it is getting increasingly annoying. I use Windows 98 on my PC but I have seen Windows 95 do this as well. Every so often by tab key behaves as if I am pressing alt tab to switch between open applications. To solve the problem you have to shut down and reboot.

I have scanned for viruses and come up clean. Has anyone got a solution for this?

Thanks

I have seen this before too. Try pressing "CTRL,ALT,DEL" and pressing cancel. This should solve the problem without having to reboot.

Thanks for the reply I will try this next time it happens. have you any idea why it does it, I'm just curious. Or shall i put it down to another Windows glitch?

Thanks.

Not 100% sure why it happens...only know how to stop it.

I have seen this too. The alt key is "stuck" or the keyboard thinks it is. Hit the alt keys a bunch of times to get it free.
