I think since we upgraded to 3.0 (59) we're getting a strange ring on an analog extension. It's on a 403. It doesn't seem to matter whether the call is from inside or outside. It's a long ring, then long pause, then normal ringing. When we had the 'no answer' delay set to default (15 sec) it would just do the one ring, so I increased it to 20 sec which allows them to catch the call. Why is this happening & what can I do to fix it?

Do you all types set to "Ring Normal" under the system tab? Are you saying that you get 1 long ring for 15 seconds?

You might also try experimenting with changing the extensions CLI settings including switching CLI off.

Certainly some non-CLI display analog phones give odd rings when set to do CLI, though the symptom usually is a few odd clicks before normal ringing starts.

Turns out that I had an incorrect route in the Avaya. Fixed that & it's fine. D'OH!
